Ricardo de Morais Sarmento
In 2009, he started a degree in Architecture at the University of Évora and in 2016, he did an internship at the University of Granada to specialize in heritage and virtual reconstitution. Nowadays, he is finishing his master’s thesis entitled Tiles as an element for architectural characterization of the Old Cathedral of Coimbra. Contribution to an inventory.
In 2017, he was hired to work at the Heritage Division of Évora City Council as a collaborator in several projects, interventions and investigations in urban archaeology. Simultaneously, he published several studies on the theme of Portuguese tiles history and on the interpretation of architectural structures and other materials uncovered in archaeological interventions in the city.
Iniciou o estudo em Arquitetura na Universidade de Évora no ano de 2009, e em 2016 estagiou na Universidade de Granada durante um ano para se especializar em património e reconstituição virtual. Actualmente, encontra-se na fase final da dissertação de mestrado intitulada O azulejo como elemento para a caracterização do espaço arquitectónico. Sé Velha de Coimbra. No ano de 2017, foi contratado pela Câmara Municipal de Évora para a Divisão de Património, tendo até à presente data estado envolvido em vários projetos, intervenções e investigações no campo da arqueologia na cidade. Simultaneamente, desenvolveu vários estudos e publicações, focando-se principalmente na história do azulejo, na interpretação de estruturas arquitectónicas e nos materiais móveis que foram descobertos nas intervenções arqueológicas na cidade.
